I just came across this job description which I think is currently used by lots of marketing agencies out there.
Would you like to earn some extra income from home doing some freelance job at your own pace? We are now running an internet marketing scheme whereby you can earn extra income by reading advertisements.
If interested, please send me an email for further details.
From what I know, this is totally unethical in the first place and kinda like cheating clients money if you provide ads service to them. Beside that, TOS of many ads provider (Google, Yahoo and etc) prohabit this kind of activity. Not only the Google Account of that user (who run the ads) will be banned but all the domains associate with the account as well.
I just have one comment for this kind of thing: it’s cheating!
My new theme is almost ready (in a week or so), therefore before updating the site to it, I will be using Barecity (the best minimalist theme out there).
Yesterday, I ranted on Twitter regarding 9rules feeds. Every feeds that come from 9rules only have title without any excerpt about the post and it is sometimes a pain in the ass for lazy bum like me to open up the link from my RSS reader (especially when I am on iPhone) to view the article.
To my surprise, somebody from 9rules (Tyme White) actually picked up my twit and blogged about it with a reply to why 9rules does not enable summary for the feeds. The points that Tyme mentioned are logical but I still think it is a ploy by 9rules to get readers to actually visit the site instead of just browsing the articles with feed readers.
Regarding excerpt, site like mine offer full article via feeds (both image and text) so I do not think an excerpt is necessary.
WordPress Theme Directory is no doubt the place to get more exposure for themes with thousands of people browsing it every now and then. The theme directory is indeed a good place for people to browse the thems, vote them and see them in action. For theme developer, maintaining a theme on WP Theme Directory is really a pain in the ass.

I have some problems validating this new theme of mine with W3C markup validator. So far there is nothing wrong with the markups or anything, and I have triple checked it again and found no problem at all. Yet the validator keeps saying that there is a problem at line 106. It is a code for search form which is using the default WordPress search form setup. It seems like when W3C’s validator crawl the site, WordPress responses with some kind of variable making the validator to output error for that certain line.
This is the first time I am getting this kind of unknown error and problem with validator. So far it is the only validation error that this them is having. Talking of the theme, this is my new theme and it may looks a bit different in IE 7 and below (I have tested with IE8 and it works alright) due to some of the CSS markups I use. It works best with FireFox, Safari and Opera.
I am planning to release this them to the public, but it may have to wait until I have lots of time to clear the theme files and make it widget friendly.
